Become a Volunteer Firefighter

Did you know over 80% of all fire protection in the US is provided by volunteers?

Timberline Fire Protection District is a combination agency consisting of career, part-time, and volunteer personnel. We are an all-hazards fire protection district, meaning we respond to a wide variety of emergencies ranging from structure and wildland fires, EMS calls, back country rescues, motor vehicle collisions, and, yes, even the occasional cat stuck in a tree. No two days at Timberline are alike!

Our services simply could not be provided without our volunteer members. Volunteering is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to serve your community, meet new friends, and gain valuable skills. No experience is necessary to apply and we provide access to all training required to become a certified Firefighter/EMT in the state of Colorado! Whether you're looking to turn firefighting into a career, are just looking to help out your neighbors, or anything in between, we have a membership program for you.

Flexibility has always been a hallmark of Timberline's volunteer programs. We understand that everyone has commitments outside of fire and we're proud to go to great lengths to accommodate this while still providing professional 24/7 response to our incredible community.
